Our Annual Show & Sale of weanlings was held today with a super yard of stock and numbers up on the sale 12 months ago. Serious Belgian Blues and Limousin bulls on offer along with some top quality Charolais bulls as well. The bull trade was dominated by shippers with 49% bought by these. The best sellers in the ring were 325kgs to 420kgs. The heavier bulls have a limited market. Again, in the heifer ring some great quality and some phenomenal prices achieved with a BBX heifer of 405kgs making €7,110 and a Limousin of 420kgs making €6,000. In the suckler ring there was a small entry with in calf lots hitting €3,730 and pairs topping out at €3,950.
