Full yard of stock today for our annual cattle show and sale with just over 400 on offer, which drew buyers from many counties including Monaghan, Down, Wicklow, Louth, Meath, Carlow, Tipperary and Kerry. Some great quality forward cattle on offer and these met great demand despite talks of factory cuts. Very little cattle under 470kgs available. Over 70 cull cows on offer with a good mix of both continental and dairy types. A good entry of cull bulls and these averaged €3.76/kg with a top price of €3,670 for a Charolais bull of 945kgs. The farmers of west Clare must be complimented on the quality of cattle they presented for sale.
