Shannonside Shorthorn Sale, Saturday 4th October 2025

The annual Shannonside Shorthorn Sale was held on Saturday at Ennis mart and proved to be an outstanding success with a 98% clearance achieved. The uplift in the commericial trade was reflected in the shorthorns also. In-calf heifers made from €2,300 to €3,360. Maiden heifers made from €1,800 to €3,750 and weanling heifers made from €1,020 to €3,040. A small selection of bulls made from €1,300 to €3,050, with stock moving to all parts of the country.
