Entries for Tuesday Sales will be taken on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday (5pm) of the previous week for inclusion in the draw.
Entries for Thursday & Friday Sales will be taken on Thursday and Friday (5pm) of the previous week for inclusion in the draw.
Entries for Monday Sheep Auction taken on Friday of previous week.
The Runner Section:
Only Stock 6 MONTHS OR UNDER will be sold in the Runner Section and they will be sold after the Calf Sale.
Calves must be at least 10 days of age before they can be sold and UNDER 6 weeks of age.

***Change to draw system for Bullocks, Heifers, Cull Cows, Weanling Bulls & Weanling Heifers – From 31st January 2022 – enter your stock as usual – if the number drawn is equal to or below half the number of pens entered, we go down to pen 1 and then up. If the number drawn is above half the number of pens entered, we go up to the last pen in the draw, then start at pen 1 and up to the number drawn.
Sheep Sellers All sheep including lambs presented for sale must be identified with a full set of EID tags, i.e. one conventional tag in the sheep’s left ear and a corresponding electronic tag placed in the sheep’s right ear. All sheep moved to and from a livestock mart must also be accompanied by a newly issued dispatch document containing a barcoded document serial number.

Very big sale yet again with over 600 on offer. Quite a number of nice quality store lambs available today and lots in the 34 to 37kgs making to €103 to €107. Trade for lambs a shade sharper and generally up €2/hd with some lots up €5 on the week. Cull ewes have remained a very solid trade and making €103 to €170. Ewes with single lambs at foot made to €200.

Very big sale today with almost 750 sheep on offer. Trade was improved all round and mostly lambs available. The numbers of cull ewes were scarce. Lamb trade improved €2 to €5 again this week with a smashing trade for store lambs with the nice ones of these making €3/kg or over. The better lambs of 45kgs to 55kgs also improved. Cull ewes had a top call of €190 and 1 ½ year old breeding ewes made to €195.

Fine size sale today for the Autumn Born Weanlings. Trade for bulls was pretty strong but some serious quality bulls on offer. Trade in the heifer ring no dearer than last week, with the exception of a few top-quality breeding types. Quite a number of the bulls over 400kgs today. A small entry of calves today and the best of these hit €495 for a 6 week old Limousin bull calf. A small offering of suckler stock made to €2,020 for pairs. Bulls and heifers €80/head up on this day 12 months.

Fine entry today of 220 cull cows and 240 heifers and 30 aged bulls. Trade was strong for beef and stores, more beef though the cows today. Some great heifers in the yard also and up to €1,100 with the weight paid for these. The aged bulls meet a very good trade and aver €1.82/kg. A super AA of 1,225kgs made €2,170 a SH of 1,105kgs made €2,060 and a CH of 1,005kgs hit €2,030.

Big sale of bullocks with just over 500 on offer and trade very strong. There was a great yard of stores on offer with beef tighter. Some beef through the yard and these hit a high of €1,230over the weight, and a bullock of 650kgs hit €1,980. Northern activity very strong for the forward cattle.

Very big sheep sale today with just over 750 on offer. Overall trade similar to last week but a large number of store lambs today with up to 30% or more of the lambs presented being stores. Cull ewes and breeders very scarce. Culls hit a high of €169 and breeders to €208. There were a few armers out buying ewe lambs today.

Small sale in Kilrush today but trade was strong with heavy Whitehead bullocks making to €1,050 over their weight or to €2.27 a kilo. Cull cows made to €2.26/kg for Continentals and upto €1.95for British type Friesians. Heifer numbers very small and HEX made to €2.18/kg.

Fine size sale again today with 465 bullocks on offer. A good mix of stores and beef today and some very fancy prices for the top lots in each category. Bullocks over 700 kgs hit a high of €2.70/kg and in the 600 to 700kgs €2.82/kg was reached and in the 500 to 600kg €2.94/kg was the peak. Heavy bullocks reached €1,385 over their weight.

Numbers similar to last week with over 300 on offer, more bulls and slightly less heifers. Bulls meet a very good trade and most of the bulls 350kgs plus. Heifers similar trade on the week. More calves available today and AA calves made to €380 for 6 week old bull. All calves were sold. Pairs in the suckler ring hit €1,810 with a nice in-calf Limousin Heifer about 3 weeks from calving in-calf to a Limousin bull hitting €1,910.
