Entry System:
Entries for Tuesday Sales will be taken on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday (5pm) of the previous week for inclusion in the draw.
Entries for Thursday & Friday Sales will be taken on Thursday and Friday (5pm) of the previous week for inclusion in the draw.
Entries for Monday Sheep Auction taken on Friday of previous week.
The Runner Section:
Only Stock 6 MONTHS OR UNDER will be sold in the Runner Section and they will be sold after the Calf Sale.
Calves must be at least 10 days of age before they can be sold and UNDER 6 weeks of age.

***Change to draw system for Bullocks, Heifers, Cull Cows, Weanling Bulls & Weanling Heifers – From 31st January 2022 – enter your stock as usual – if the number drawn is equal to or below half the number of pens entered, we go down to pen 1 and then up. If the number drawn is above half the number of pens entered, we go up to the last pen in the draw, then start at pen 1 and up to the number drawn.
Sheep Sellers All sheep including lambs presented for sale must be identified with a full set of EID tags, i.e. one conventional tag in the sheep’s left ear and a corresponding electronic tag placed in the sheep’s right ear. All sheep moved to and from a livestock mart must also be accompanied by a newly issued dispatch document containing a barcoded document serial number.

Good size sale today for the time of year with nearly 300 on offer. Calf numbers back a bit with 55 on offer and these were a very good trade especially for the strong calves as a LMX bull calf made €715. Bull weanlings met a lively trade and made to €3.96/kg. There was a serious demand in the heifer ring as these made to €4.24/kg. A mix sale of suckler stock today with the highlight being a BBX cow with a LMX calf topping out at €2,680.

Sheep Auction
Fine size sheep sale again today with over 700 on offer and trade was positive and €189 was achieved for a pen of 10 at 54.5kgs. Some very good lambs available and Ramadan was a great benefit. Some very good cull ewes available also. These just about holding the trade for the better lots. A cull ewe of 108kgs hit €210 with a few lots in the €190 bracket.

Very big sheep sale today with 949 head on offer. Trade possibly a shade easier by about €3/head back on an exceptionally strong trade last week. Some lambs lacking a small bit in flesh today. Hogget’s getting very scarce at the moment and cull ewes still a strong trade. Culls peaked at €233 for 120kgs.

Bigger than expected sale today with 433 on offer and this included 90 calves. Again shippers were very active in the bull weanling ring and these hit €3.80/kg. Some exceptional prices for heifers today and these reached €4.41/kg. Calves met a strong trade again with exporters quite active. AA calves made €205 to €490, HEX calves made €215 to €280 and continental calves made to €750. Our special sale for autumn born weanlings will be held on Tuesday 11th July. Entries will be taken Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday of next week. A small entry of suckling stock today with pairs making to €1,860 and in calf lots made €1,580.
