Entry System:
Entries for Tuesday Sales will be taken on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday (5pm) of the previous week for inclusion in the draw.
Entries for Thursday & Friday Sales will be taken on Thursday and Friday (5pm) of the previous week for inclusion in the draw.
Entries for Monday Sheep Auction taken on Friday of previous week.
The Runner Section:
Only Stock 6 MONTHS OR UNDER will be sold in the Runner Section and they will be sold after the Calf Sale.
Calves must be at least 10 days of age before they can be sold and UNDER 6 weeks of age.

***Change to draw system for Bullocks, Heifers, Cull Cows, Weanling Bulls & Weanling Heifers – From 31st January 2022 – enter your stock as usual – if the number drawn is equal to or below half the number of pens entered, we go down to pen 1 and then up. If the number drawn is above half the number of pens entered, we go up to the last pen in the draw, then start at pen 1 and up to the number drawn.
Sheep Sellers All sheep including lambs presented for sale must be identified with a full set of EID tags, i.e. one conventional tag in the sheep’s left ear and a corresponding electronic tag placed in the sheep’s right ear. All sheep moved to and from a livestock mart must also be accompanied by a newly issued dispatch document containing a barcoded document serial number.

Our annual bull weanling show & sale was held in Kilfenora this afternoon and we had a super yard of stock which were predominantly Charolais stock. Farmers were in attendance from many counties today and a huge number of repeat customers. The tops hit over €5/kg. There were 2 pens of weanlings in organic conversion, and these made to 4.25/kg.

Good size sale today with just over 500 on offer. Bull trade similar to previous weeks but heifer trade improved slightly up 5c/kg on previous weeks. Again, the runner bulls a great trade and made to €4.52/kg and runner heifers peaked at €3.91/kg. A good entry of in calf sucklers which were in calf 3 – 5 months made to €1980. These were in calf to CH stock bull. Suckler pairs made to €2,410. Only a handful of calves on offer and these made to €470 for a month-old HEX heifer calf.

Huge sale of cull cows and heifers today with over 700 on offer. Trade stronger in both rings especially for the heavy heifers and great trade for the beef cows also, especially the fleshed cows with some great cows available today. The store heifers similar trade to last week but lots over 550kgs were 5c/kg to 10c/kg dearer. Likewise, the heavy cows up 5c/kg. A strong entry of aged bulls averaged 2.32/kg with a limousine of 985kgs hitting €2,610.
