The Runner Section:
Only Stock 6 MONTHS OR UNDER will be sold in the Runner Section and they will be sold after the Calf Sale.
Calves must be at least 10 days of age before they can be sold and UNDER 6 weeks of age.

***Change to draw system for Bullocks, Heifers, Cull Cows, Weanling Bulls & Weanling Heifers – From 31st January 2022 – enter your stock as usual – if the number drawn is equal to or below half the number of pens entered, we go down to pen 1 and then up. If the number drawn is above half the number of pens entered, we go up to the last pen in the draw, then start at pen 1 and up to the number drawn.
Sheep Sellers All sheep including lambs presented for sale must be identified with a full set of EID tags, i.e. one conventional tag in the sheep’s left ear and a corresponding electronic tag placed in the sheep’s right ear. All sheep moved to and from a livestock mart must also be accompanied by a newly issued dispatch document containing a barcoded document serial number.

Good size sale today with 500 on offer. A mixed run of lambs with a lot more stores on offer and lambs lacking flesh. Butcher lambs topped out at €159 for a pen of 7 at 54kgs. The cull ewes met good demand and these made from €1.10–1.60/kg, with a top call of €170 for a ewe weighing 106kgs.

Small sale this evening, but a great trade all round. There was 4 pairs of organic sucklers and these met huge demand making from €2,480 to €2,710. Also, a nice entry of cull cows were a fine trade.

A really strong trade for the cull cows today with the heifer trade similar to last week. A small entry of aged bulls today averaged €2.13/kg with a CH bull weighing 1,100kgs making €2,420.

Very big sale with 715 on offer. A very mixed run of sheep available today, and quite a number of unfinished sheep available. The good, well fleshed lambs doing ok and the tops are hitting in around €3.00/kg but the lesser lots making €2.00/kg to €2.90/kg. No great change in the cull ewes and these generally making €1.05/kg to €1.49/kg with 4 @ 101kgs hitting €150.

Big size sale for the time of year with 461 on offer. Some lovely quality available especially in the weanling bulls. Some very fancy prices for the nice quality well marked heifers, as these made to €4.70/kg. Runner heifers made to €940 and runner bulls to €990. Again, strong demand for suckler stock and these made to €2,230 for in-calf lots. A handful of suck calves on offer and these made from €35 to €645 for a month old LMX bull calf.
