Entry System:
Entries for Tuesday Sales will be taken on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday (5pm) of the previous week for inclusion in the draw.
Entries for Thursday & Friday Sales will be taken on Thursday and Friday (5pm) of the previous week for inclusion in the draw.
Entries for Monday Sheep Auction taken on Friday of previous week.
The Runner Section:
Only Stock 6 MONTHS OR UNDER will be sold in the Runner Section and they will be sold after the Calf Sale.
Calves must be at least 10 days of age before they can be sold and UNDER 6 weeks of age.

***Change to draw system for Bullocks, Heifers, Cull Cows, Weanling Bulls & Weanling Heifers – From 31st January 2022 – enter your stock as usual – if the number drawn is equal to or below half the number of pens entered, we go down to pen 1 and then up. If the number drawn is above half the number of pens entered, we go up to the last pen in the draw, then start at pen 1 and up to the number drawn.
Sheep Sellers All sheep including lambs presented for sale must be identified with a full set of EID tags, i.e. one conventional tag in the sheep’s left ear and a corresponding electronic tag placed in the sheep’s right ear. All sheep moved to and from a livestock mart must also be accompanied by a newly issued dispatch document containing a barcoded document serial number.

Good size sheep sale today with 648 on offer. Trade just about steady on the week with a tops of €160 for lambs today. A mixed run of store type lambs available and most of these in the low 30kgs bracket. Trade holding best for the heavy fleshed ewe and these made to over €2/kg for the best of them with 4 @ 103kgs making to €229 and 4 @ 86.5kgs hitting €178.

A great sale of Weanling Bulls at our annual show & sale for bull weanlings. Again, a super yard of bulls and average price up €100 on the same day last year and the average weight back 10kgs this year. Some super prices achieved, and the €4/kg broken on a number of occasions and bulls averaged €3.54/kg. Mostly CH and CHX weanlings available.

The weanling Show and sale was held today and numbers back about 10% on last year but trade was good for both bulls and heifers. Very strong demand for quality weanlings driven by farmer and shipper activity. Shippers very active for the top quality lots. A good entry of cull cows available today.

Strong numbers of cull cows and heifers today with 538 on offer. A strong trade was the order of the day especially for forward stock. Some excellent cows available and these hit a high of €2,890 for a LM of 895kgs. Heifers topped out at €2,320, as quite a number of heifers were over 600 kgs. A good bit of northern activity today. A number of cull cows topped the €2,000 mark today. A good entry of aged bulls averaged €2.21/kg and hit €2,340 for a 930kg bull. Mostly continentals available again in both the cow and heifer rings.
